These are basically the normal metal brace, but the modules (little rings) used to hold the archwire in place come in a multitude of colours to make the wearing of braces more fun. These colours can be changed at every appointment.

Ceramic braces are created with clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces.

Application...

Ceramic braces are applied individually to the tooth’s surface with a cement-like material and blend in with your natural tooth’s colour. Ceramic brackets are less visible than traditional metal brackets.

Clear elastic...

Ceramic braces still require a metal wire to run across your teeth and is bound to your brackets using clear or tooth - coloured elastic bands.

Aesthetic alternative...

Clear Aesthetic Ceramic braces are often a suitable choice for patients who would like their treatment to be discreet. It must be noted however that while durable, ceramic is more brittle than the metal alternative, so they must be looked after with care. Ceramic braces tend to be used on the upper front teeth than on the lower teeth.
